I'm sure they shorted the hell out of it. I'm still waiting for conformation tomorrow of the possible down trend.
AOL has reported better then expected earnings .23 vs. .19 estimate. The Internet sector could be immune to Asian crises, which is the card I'm playing. FNTN in short term does not depend on overall market, what we need now is PR about their IntrAnet and clients. Also I would like to know how FNTN plans to advertise their products. Of cause IDB news can be another mover. Many good things to come very soon (any day) just keep the stock out of bad publicity (no pump & dump, etc..) and in focus (Intranet PR, IDB, clients).

Dear Don,

Ralph is known as "Ralph Makempoorer"... I remember watching him when I had a Pru acct. in the early eighties. He was the best contrarian indicator imaginable. My feeling was that he was a perfect broker for widows and orphans: he never made a prediction that hadn't already come true. Also, he has a very limited understanding of the present market forces, especially high-tech and internet. I laughed when he "predicted" this slump. Weren't we three days (maybe 5 - 7) into it already? Now he's sitting in Lutece with a bunch of myrmidons fawning and pointing out to the clientele "Ralphie made the market go WAY down today. Isn't that special?"

Kind of makes you glad you're out here in the weeds sitting on a pile of tomatoes, don't it?

All the best,
M.

Don: About 3 years ago I was one of approximately 35 people listening to a private lecture given by one of the most well known market analysts in the country - a regular guest on CNBC. He told everyone that The Market was no longer Bullish, that American stocks had reached their uppermost highs and that the hot place to invest in stocks was the Pacific Rim.
These people have their own agenda. They are manipulators of the first order and If I had any money, I'd be buying the spoils with them tomorrow. What distinguishes these vermin from the Flim-Flam hawkers of old? Color-coordinated ties?
