Perhaps everyone should at least consider the unpleasant possibility that the bear has indeed began. There are a number of negative factors that will play out over the next couple of years that are not favorable to a continued bull run.

Consider these:

1. China, racked by violent El Ni¤o natural disasters, devalues its currency causing a chain reaction of further devaluation throughout the Far East, disrupting US exports and cutting company profits.

2. The two worst meteor storms in the last hundred years will hit the earth both this November and the next. We all know what the loss of one satellite meant to telecommunications recently. And last year I believe it was a satellite was damaged by space debris and an entire gallaxy disappeared on the dish.

3. The spectre of YK-2 has not yet been dispelled.

4. The king of Saudi Arabia is presently being hospitalized. His health has been declining for some time now. The heir to his throne is decidedly anti-Western.

5. Commodities rallied into today's steep sell-off. This is counter to recent trends. Should it continue this would be a disturbing turn of events for the bulls.

6. Fighting on the Pakistan/India border has been described as "savage" the past couple of days. Both countries successfully tested nuclear arms recently. This is not to say they will use them, but it is a striking reflection of the 1979 China/Soviet clashes which killed thousands of troops and was considered by some a prominent factor in the world turmoil that led to the gold shock of that period.

7. Clinton's many scandals appear to be finally catching up with him.

8. The National Conference Green Bay Packers lost the Super Bowl ='(.

Maybe you didn't get your overnight delivery from Bob and everyone else did.

Can someone tell me how this idea (that Bob will overnight a sell signal) got started? It's not mentioned in his ad (which all of us probably have memorized by now). It's not mentioned in MT. And I don't recall ever hearing Bob mention it (but I don't get a chance to listen to every program).

If I thought he was going to do that, I'd re-subscribe. But if he sends a sell signal by regular mail, it'll probably be on the radio before I get it.

Ken (happy to read all this doom & gloom ... but plenty unsure himself)
