Drugs Tsar Ready To Target Illegal Viagra
Tuesday August 4, 11:28 PM

Viagra is set to become the latest target of Britain's drugs tsar Keith Hellawell.

The Government's drugbuster is monitoring the influx of black market supplies of the impotency pills into the UK and is poised to offer advice to ministers on curbing its illicit use.

Although more accustomed to tackling heroin, cocaine and ecstasy, Mr Hellawell said his remit covered all forms of drug abuse - including improper use of the pills which have taken America by storm.

Police have already made the first seizure of illegal supplies of the drug and reports are growing of a booming black market among men and even young nightclub goers desperate to test its effects.

Mr Hellawell said if the abuse became widespread he would offer advice and recommendations to the Government.

The drug is not yet licensed for use in the UK but is expected to become available on prescription this autumn.

A spokeswoman for the drug tsar said: "Mr Hellawell has this issue in mind.

"At the moment there's no research been undertaken. Until we've got some sort of concrete evidence we wouldn't be putting in additional resources.

"But we monitor situations and make recommendations to the Government on the whole area of drug abuse."

Actually, isn't that what happened last time we had a bottom? It tanked hard one day, then the next day went lower but recovered later in the day without looking back. If anyone can remember or has access to detailed charts from when we had the last corrections, please let me know if this is accurate.

As I understand, much of the latter part of today's sell-off was stops being triggered and primarily done by computers. Since it occurred on high volume, it qualifies as a good ol' fashioned shake out, doesn't it?

With today's PFE low of 104.63 following the 300 point Dow drop, a new pending Peabody Valley was set on heavy volume. This Valley is 2.3% lower than the predicted Valley of 107.00. This trend is also consistent with last Sunday's Peabody Report PForecast and similar to the August, 1997 PFE decline:

Peabody Short-Term PForecast (8/02/98): PFE: 109.81, DJ: 8,883: PFE will once again be driven by market forces beyond its control. The very low PFE volume on Friday indicates the Valley will go lower as profit-taking continues. Be very aware of buy opportunities, they will disappear as the trend heads back up. Da Gut Feel: A new Valley will be set around 105-106 followed by a rally to close the week above 110.

Mr. Peabody will be watching the PFE action very closely on Wednesday morning with an anticipated addition to the Peabody Portfolio below 105.

Have PFun!
