Eric, many very good points and I would add the Fed is now absolutely not raising rates in the near future and very importantly money supply growth should remain accommodative. We were in desperate need of a correction that scares some of the mindless buy the dip investors. If Bob is looking for modest returns in the bull market going forward that usually means serious and painful corrections along with the rallies. A scenario that would be interesting would be us taking off into the fall reaching Bob's predicted new highs and reaching the point of Bob's possible inflection point in the 4th quarter where bullish sentiment and valuation will again be stretched but either Asia or the Fed drags us into a bear market. If that happened and Bob could call it, it could make an excellent opportunity for the nimble.

Great post! Especially....

When the dust settles, I believe the low inflation and low interest rates will continue to move this Bull market higher. IF the market Guru's and pundits start recommending Gold or shifting all your money to T-Bill's (because of the pending market crash), then it will be time to load up on those S&P Spyders. I do not think we are quite there yet.

I agreee fully. Would not surprise me to see us test the new trade limits tomorrow intraday and then rally back if it happens. Of course, the idiots will be out in full bloom then bashing Bob for missing the intraday low point....

My feel is the deeper the correction, the stronger and higher the rebound. I may look for some large cap value plays instead of Spyders tomorrow.... Anyone consider FDX as a cute internet play? 8)

Shake the bear tree and 60 posts fall out since I read the site this AM! WOW!
