Hiram, thanks for correcting my poor choice of terminology. In my mind's eye I was actually referring to the distributed star, which is, of course, correct for the most recent implementations. But the problem of collision domains and remote-cluster contention bottlenecks remain, just the same, and that's what I was ultimately referring to. Frank C.
