Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, they somehow do. Try out the emergency drill that you've practiced and committed to memory. Whether you're risking your career or your reputation, panic will only make things worse. You can get through this if you just keep yourself grounded. I don't think 1-2% in a day will scare anybody.
Nor are many people scared now: mostly devising scenarios
such as yours that include a big rebound. Yesterday
wasn't Jack. We need more gloom for Jack. If Jack comes
we'll have some serious discounts. Now its still like a sale
at the Nautilus store, 20% off still leaves you ferreting through
the scarves and caps.
