I use netmeeting which is provided by Microsoft.
It is free.
But as far a making phone calls from a regular
phone through your pc. I don't think I know how to
do that unless I misunderstood your post.

Try this site. It's fairly new and a great alternative to a second phone line. It comes with a 30 day free trial.

All the information on how to sign up is there. This may sound like a "cliche", but I liked it so much I bought the stock. IIA on the Alberta Stock exchange in Canada. Got in at .50 in February and out
in May at 4.00. Today it closed at 3.00.

For simultaneous digital & voice connection on an ordinary phone line, check out a company called Data Race (RACE). They're in trouble & may not be around long, but I think their product is close to what you are looking for. The SI thread is at:
