If you are a long term holder, what difference does it make if it goes to $65??

Well, the market is not an entirely random process. If INTC is at 65 in OCT, it means something is amiss with INTC (real or perceived). Also holding long term is no guarantee of profits, so even a long-term investor prefers paper profits. Maybe its just me, but I prefer my stocks to hum right along.

I think orders/earnings will greatly disappoint this quarter...plus another 1000 decline in Dow won't help either. In the long term, however, I expect INTC to go up (5-10yr time frame)

Well at least you followed your convictions. You bought PUTS. We probably agree this correction was needed before we could move higher.
