To Pluvia and Duke Matlock:

You both have some relevant arguments against the survival of
CTC Communications. With the recent news about the reversal of the
temporary restraining order and the near completion of financing
makes both your arguments somewhat weak. Granted, no financing has
been completed. But on July 10th a news release was issued, stating
that the company was in final stages of completing financing. That is a
fact. You can read the press release for yourself. The reversal of
the temporary restraining order is significant. Those 5,000 customers
were loyal CTC customers representing over $100 million in billings.
That is another fact. I do agree that their working capital may be low.
Also realize that a CLEC with a temporary restraining order was signing
up approximately 8,000 access lines per month. Not to bad. Many CLEC's
needed 1.5 years to sign up the amount of lines that CTC signed up in
seven months. For some time things did look very uncertain for the company.
I believe the worst is behind them. The $125 million dollars in financing
is absolutely critical however. I can not disagree about that. If you
believe the company will not be able to get financing you have a very
valid argument to short. With the overturning of the temporary restraining
order the company will be able to sign up many more access lines than before
because of these loyal customers. Keep in mind CTC has much more competitive
prices than Bell Atlantic. Only time will tell about the financing.

Good luck to all
