Unfortunately I can't point you to the article because thestreet.com prohibits this. But here's the part of the article about beas.

>>BEA Systems (BEAS:Nasdaq), of Sunnyvale, Calif., has built a promising business with a program that helps big organizations manage transactions and communications on big mainframe computers. The company's TUXEDO software works across different computing platforms. The company also is putting out a host of new products with snappy coffee metaphor names like Ice Java and Jolt. But BEA, acknowledges Executive Vice President Alfred Chuang, "faces development issues that are very, very painful, in a rapidly changing market."

A bigger problem, says hedge fund manager Howard Love of Love Capital: Competition from software gorilla Microsoft (MSFT:Nasdaq). Microsoft is incorporating some of the same features into its Windows NT 5.0 operating system. Love, who attended a company breakout session after the presentation, said BEA's response to the threat is to go for the market's high end. "The question is, how robust is the high end?" asks Love. "All competitors are going to the high end. It's going to be a rush for the exits, and I don't think it's going to be pretty."

Just before the 8 a.m. presentation, shares of BEAS dropped 1 to 18 5/8 and then recovered only slightly.
