Dale,
I have talked to a few people lately in the oil patch. Right now you can get a rig for about $7500/day, six months ago it was $12000+/day. If the have the cash on hand then it is a good time to drill but the overall activity is down.

Hi Dale,
I can assure you that if either Shell or Esso (with annual budgets of more than $200 million for exploration) had a major success, the first thing they would do is beat everybody senseless with their cheque books assembling land and then the area would look like a forest of drill rigs.
