IBM/EDS rumor? No, but I heard Monica killed Vince Foster,

and Ken Star has given her 100% immunity! Yow!

p.s. I predict the stains on the dress will prove to be Mayonaise, with traces of corned beef.

I dont see IBM buying EDS due to anti-trust implications. It would
draw too much gov't scrutiny and the cost/expense of defending the
move in addition to the risk it would be disallowed just makes this
option not practical. On the other hand, just as Compaq took over
DEC for its services business, some other player who wants a "womb to
tomb" offerings package may go after them so they have a high quality
offering for services and outsourcing. Let me hallucinate for a
moment. How about Lucent, EDS, 3Com, some of the speciality
networking companies like XYLN, Sybase, some other enterprise software
companies, Decision 1 (maintenance services) and some others all
coming under a Lucent umbrella. Add in a telecom and a few Internet
companies for communications and access purposes and you have a nice
conglomerate geared for the 21st century. Anyway, I am just playing
around here, nothing serious about any of this.
