I have heard that the Saudis are getting into a huge economic mess because of the cheap oil. Also the college kids in that area will scream bloody murder if they don't get to drive their Mazeratis and Porschs to school. It will hurt them for a while to cut production but lets face it, they will do anything to continue their extravagant life style. After all, they have to pay the servants. Who would clean their Palaces and their behinds?<G>

Jim,

Your opinion is a good one. If the Saudis had any guts they would simply turn off their wells for a month and we would see $20.00 oil very fast. Evidently most OPEC nations are too greedy to take a short term loss for a longer term gain. IMO they should look at their oil supplies as their future generation's bank account--they can withdraw more of it now for less or less of it now for more later.
