Gates got out probably because he is interested in making money rather than losing it. He's done well with ICOS.

Actually, it's my understanding the Gates bought because of the "guarantee" associated with the IPO and sold when LGNDA converted to LGND.

But it wouldn't sound as good if he mentioned that.

Similiar to how "300 point drop in the dow; 3rd largest in history!" is suposed to be the reason why LGND dropped into single digits.
Would it sound the same if he also said that the 3.4% drop wasn't even in the top 20? or that the dow is still up 7% YTD and the naz 14%?

With comments like this, should we also question the objectivity of the science commentary?
