the flip side of the market is the pessimism in the russell, it reached a new low. Financial companies are selling for half the cost of the Treasuries on their balance sheets, less than the replacement cost of their buildings, and still the price goes down. The market finally auctioned off Aetna for 0.9 book. All the stories about dreaded bear markets are true. I see how cheap this stuff is and I'm afraid to buy any more. I think when this one hits the S&P and Dow it's gonna scare off an entire generation from investing in the stock market.
