Hello Oracle,

Re: Short term market advice

1. Crashes don't happen from the top. After the first drop there's a few weeks breather before the crash, which is the second big leg down.
(i.e. the Hang Seng topped early August '97, had a nasty drop over 2-3 weeks, recovered in September and crashed in October).
2. Taking long position on a decline today is a good play IMO. You can wait and see if the market is up before close and go long there for a couple of days.
3. The crash phase should begin on the last trading days of August or the first trading day of September.
4. OTOH, many indices (Russell 2000, DJ Transports) topped on 21/4, and are already in the second (crash phase) leg down.
