JPR just opened up remote trading in the past couple of months. When I spoke to JPR about a month ago, they had only about 15 clients. By now, I'm sure that's increased, because they've been the talk of the circles I'm involved in.

They are a franchise of Terra Nova, like MB, Maxtrade, Maverick, etc. They all clear through Southwest Securities, a highly regarded b/d, so your funds aren't in jeopardy, IMHO. None of the people I know are close enough to JPR's three offices, which, if I remember correctly, are in Boca Raton, Long Island, and L.A. They are, however, setup for in house trading, as far as I know.

As far as best/worst, I have yet to hear a negative comment. In fact, some have told me that they have been able to short stocks that clients of MB haven't been able to. Since my understanding is that they all work off a short list provided by Southwest, I don't know how that is possible, but that's what has happened. You'd have to verify this.

There's a real nice lady named Arlene that will answer the phone at 561-621-8787. She'll be glad to send you a little package to peruse, though it's just some account forms, one glossy page about Realtick with JPR information on the back, and a couple of other pages regarding fees, etc.

That's about all I know at this point. Remember that most of the RealTick programs are quite similar, with just a little massaging of the features by each broker. I guess you'd just have to see it to see the differences. I know that you can talk to one of their brokers to ask more detailed questions.

Good luck.
