Goldman's Abby Cohen Calls Shares 'Undervalued'

New York, Aug. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s influential stock market strategist Abby Joseph Cohen said the recent declines in the U.S. stock market were an ''overreaction'' and said stocks are a good buy.

''Stocks are trading at undervalued levels, even assuming a notable increase in inflation,'' Cohen wrote in a note to clients.

''Stock prices have returned to the bottom end of the trading range that began in April,'' the strategist wrote. ''We believe that the fundamental factors attracting attention (earnings, Asia, and inflation) are better than is currently reflected in equity prices.''

I always liked Abby...
