It is time for nations to take responsibility into there own hands. This notion that somehow the big bad USA is to blame is ridiculous!

You don't know how the US interests were served by Mobutu? That's a laugh! no, seriously, look up the history and analysis of the AFDL rebellion and/or any late 80s or 90s article/journal paper on the US and mobutu. post-independence congolese politics has been filled with american intervention. the history and connection is too long to describe. i highly recommend doing this research if you are interested in the politics of the DRC and central africa. i am truly surprised by your position.
