can you explain? you are long ibm and short sunw, if it happens, don't you lose on both?

i am not sure the deal will be approved on the anti-competitive basis.
but i certainly hope my shares will be exchanged for ibm shares 1 for 1.

They are just talking it on CNBC right now. They say it will not happen until October and one institutional investor is buying SUNW September 50 call big time. The reason I short SUNW is the management. SUNW could be much higher (I mean stock price) if under different management. Now SUNW looks like a loser.
