Doug, I'd like to know how their cash position increased, too. They say it is $12 M. Well, it stood at about $2.5 M at the end of March, and they were losing $4 M per quarter.

Surely they must have done a dilutive private placement. Unless the money fell out of the sky, a private placement is the only way it could have happened. And considering their cash liquidity situation and previous financing practices, it was probably a discounted convertible.

But they never announced it. There are no SEC filings or news releases that I could find disclosing a private placement. If this had been a US co., they would have been compelled to file a disclosure. This failure to disclose means shareholders have no idea how much dilution they've taken on. And that comes after a monumental amount of dilution over the last year or so, with shares out doubling from 3/97 to 3/98.

Just call this one "TurboDylution".

Hi Dug, something from German newspapers!

brokersworld.consors.de
Then goto "8. Technologie Werte" lots of talk, sometimes interesting news posts.

(Consors is a German Online Broker)

Turbodyne: Vorwrfe berechtigt -2
FRANKFURT (AFX-TD) Richard K”bberling,
Sprecher von MAN , nannte am
Donnerstag Behauptungen von Turbodyne
USA, wonach MAN zu den Kunden geh”re,
einen "Riesen-Bluff" und "heiáe Luft".
Sein Unternehmen fhre nur das durch,
was jeder Motoren-Hersteller tue: MAN
habe sich die elektrisch betriebenen
Turbolader gekauft und teste sie
derzeit. Dies bedeute aber keinesfalls,
daá ein Auftrag erteilt werde. Ob dies
geschehe, sei noch nicht klar, falls
berhaupt werde darber allenfalls nach
dem Jahr 2000 entschieden.
Auch bei Volkswagen ergab sich
ein „hnliches Bild. Fred B„rbock aus der
Kommunikationsabteilung verneinte am
Donnerstag auf Teledata-Anfrage
kategorisch jeden Kontakt mit dem
Unternehmen: "Turbodyne ist uns
unbekannt", sagte er. Es gebe zwischen
Volkswagen und Turbodyne "keine
gesch„ftlichen Beziehungen und
vertraglichen Vereinbarungen",
bekr„ftigte B„rbock. Dies betreffe
sowohl Forschung als auch Zulieferung.
šber m”gliche Tests sei ihm nichts
bekannt. Die Auflistung von Volkswagen
auf der Web-Site nannte der Sprecher
"nicht korrekt".
Daimler-Benz hatte bereits am
Mittwoch jegliche Kooperation mit
Turbodyne dementiert. Der Konzern habe
wohl von den Turbodyne-Produkten geh”rt
und sie sich angeschaut, erl„uterte ein
Sprecher. In diesem Fall von einer
Zusammenarbeit zu sprechen, so Daimler
Benz, sei aber "sehr weit
hergeholt"./cs/fl/nb

Horrible AltaVista English (I was too lazy)

Turbodyne: Reproaches entitled -2 FRANKFURT (AFX-TD)
Richard Koebberling, speaker of MAN (ONES),... called on Thursday statements of Turbodyne (the) USA, according to which MAN (ONE) belonged to the customers, one " giant-bluffs " and "hot air" is called. Its enterprise does (executes) only, which does (to) each engine manufacturer: MAN (ONE) bought the electrically operated turbochargers (and) to test it at present. This does not mean however under any circumstances that a job is given. Whether this occurs, is not clear yet, if at all decided on it if necessary after the year 2000.
Also with Volkswagen(s) a similar picture resulted. Fred B„rbock (bear support) from the communication department answered each contact in the negative with the enterprise on Thursday on Teledata inquiry categorically: " Turbodyne is unknown to us ",he said (it).It gives no business relations and contractual declarations/agreements " between Volkswagens and Turbodyne ", affirmed B„rbock. This concerns both research and supply. Over possible tests it nothing is well-known. The listing of Volkswagens on the (Turbodyne) Web Site did not call the speaker " correctly ". Daimler Benz had already disclaimed any co-operation with Turbodyne on Wednesday. The company heard probably of the Turbodyne products and it looked at, (described themselves) outlined a speaker. In this case of a co-operation to speak, so Daimler Benz, is however " very far hergeholt " [i.e. very far away]./cs/fl/nb (06,08,98 / 16:40)

(Corrections applied, brackets around words unnecessary)

I laughed at the AltaVista translation of the German Name "B„rbock" which was translated successfully into "bear support".

VW (Volkswagen) [VOWG.DE] is a big german Carmaker as is Daimler Benz [DAIG.DE, DAI.N], MAN AG is a maker of buses and lorries. All 3 are listed in Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the german bluechips.

The germans are now even more negative on TRBD, although there is much tout around, still, but carrying banners: Hey this is a unpaid stock tout!" :-)

Janssen Meyers did good job on their first day working TRBD (Or are they on holidays on the Bahamas, still). Finally stock hovered bits over nine, so it's a good entry point, again.
