I caught a segment on CNBC at 11:53 today . I didn't ,get the person's name being interviewed, ( I will look it up on CNBC web page ), nor did I catch entire interview, just the end. When asked about gold in general and as an alternative in this downturn of the stock market, his response was that since better technology is able to recoup gold more quickly and since POG is low, look for many smaller companies to be acquired by large ones. The suggestion was that, although gold ,in and of itself, might not be a favored investment, that owning the smaller gold companies, is a good investment because of acquisition occurence. MAGGIE
