When Powell was considering running in '96, he got quite a lot of flack from the Democrats. He saw what both sides were doing and
decided it wasn't worth it.

Well, we can rule out looking at the Dem party since there apparently isn't a single statesman in it.

Is the Dem party so united in corruption that not one person will step forward? Where are the Dem Buckleys, Goldwaters and Rhodes?
