But try the following:

Here at SI, you can draw a chart or take Bigcharts and compare the TBR with the dow in the last say 100 days. What do you see?

Maybe the same as I, namely that TBR is still a market performer, with the small exception of the auction times, when it shot up.

Results:

last 1 Mo: Dow -7, TBR -4,6
last 2 Mo: Dow -6, TBR -3,7
last 3 Mo: Dow -6, TBR -4,2
last 6 Mo: Dow +4, TBR -3
last Year: Dow +3, TBR -17
2 Years: Dow +50, TBR +50

So after the asian flu, TBR Performance seems to increase slowly over time.

If it always tracked the dow, point by point, the thread was not as interesting as it is...

I also had, from time to time an index product in my portfolio, when I have no better idea. It is traded on the amex and named S&P Depositary Rights (SPY).

Greetings

Christian

Kev, she goes down with the DOW, but doesn't always go up with it...a real pisser at times. I think what you may be seeing is general skepticism over the sell-off being over. I suspect things may quiet down ahead of Japan's big announcement....hopefully not the usual disappointment.
