that works out to about two bucks, depending on what cash burn rate you pick.

What I find interesting is the aggressive schedule Fox chose to introduce his product to the market, before clinical trials allowed him to claim any distinctive advantages for the product. If instead he had done low-budget clinical trials for a few years, gotten his ADA approval to make new claims, gotten all kinds of free publicity from that, and then sought funding to do the marketing, things might have worked out better. Instead, his cash was just burning a hole in his pocket, and he couldn't wait to spend it.
