U want 2 talk re: "inflation" Matzaman...get a load of this FRESH example: As a shipper, I took a pkg to UPS last night to ship from Portland OR to a berg in Georgia (USA) Besides being informed by a neatly lettered sign sandwiched outside the main entrance of the regional block long UPS customer service/dispatch area that: AS OF JULY 7, 1998, ALL PACKAGES MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE COUNTER, UNOPENED TO BE EXAMINED BY UPS PERSONNEL PRIOR TO SHIPPING... BESIDES THAT OFFENSIVE, BIG BROTHER "alert" my small package was measured for its CUBIC SIZE, the measurements ENTERED INTO THEIR KEYBOARD by the clerk prior to ringing up my "shipping charge"...Damn small box thing cost me $46.84 to mail 15# of inventory, well taped and full of styrofoam peanuts out the wazoo packing of that lil' mother to Georgia. Has the whole world gone Viagra mad about size & function? Someone want to look up on LAST YEAR'S PRICE----PRIOR TO THE RECENT UPS STRIKE AND SETTLEMENT---for 15# from 97208 to 32525 ZIP CODE?
