TJG, thanks very much for making the call and posting this info!

I wonder if the units would be more useful in clinics/hospitals rather than in individual homes. Do you know if it has to be calibrated on a per person basis, or not (e.g. could a clinic get away with calibrating it just twice a day for many different users)? I suspect the former based on how it works which would make it seemingly worthless in a clinic environment.

Until they can get the frequency of calibrations down and make it more portable, its usefulness for individuals seems pretty limited, IMHO. Any diabetics here that could provide more insight?

Are the D2000/3000 in production? When will we see them and what are the improvements. If your correct in regards to the D1000 I would not buy it.
