Well, I hope they sell it all to Japan. Asians know the value of gold (ask a Korean or Indonesian). What i'm trying to grasp is a scenario where the U.S. would be cooperative with the other C.B.'S. Could things be that desperate in Asia? Could they be looking ahead 10 years, wanting to ensure a very strong presence to balance the possibility of complete Chinese domination of the area.?
We know Greenspan is not that sour on gold. If I could see the U.S. benefit, i'd feel a lot more confident.
