If we are in a deflationary environment, commodities will continue to trend down (as a general rule). Therefore, we have no assurance that Oil prices won't continue to slide farther south over the next few months. Additional pressure will continue on oil as long as the producing countries output stays above current demand.

I'm not saying this will be our future here in the oil patch, but I'm not discounting it either. This is why, like you DH, I have been trying to express to those on this thread that serious caution should be used at this time.

I agree both HD and QCOM look very attractive at the moment.

Hey Diamond, I thought you were writing some book somewhere. Hard to wean yourself off the market, isn't it?<g> Seems to me this is the time to remain in cash if you really went there earlier this year. The correction is not over in the broader market yet, IMVHO.
