Don't you have a discount broker, PMSW? Trades of up to 1,000 shares cost $14.95 at Fidelity Online. If you're dealing in lots larger than that, why worry about such small things? Imho, splits make a stock "feel like a bargain" and attract more investors, illogical though it may be.

"I hate 3:2 splits too."

I couldn't come up with the reference to save my life, but a recent study of splits showed that the 3:2 variety were the best kind for share price appreciation. I believe I recall the time period for comparison was one year. Sorry I can't supply more details...
