Well I'm kind of amazed that when RR was President every thing that happened on his watch he got the credit for.But the strong economy under Clinton is suppose to be the result of Greenspan or the Republican congress,or whatever. When he came into office his economic package was roundly criticized. The tax increases would cause recession. The govt. spending would cause inflation. They did neither. He pushed through NAFTA.[something RR or Bush could not]He has worked hard altho with debatable success to get Japan and China to become free traders. He has worked to get welfare reform. He has shown the guts to buck his own party to accomplish much of this. When he put his crime package through a few years ago it was suppose to be too little too late.Yes we will never know what effect these policies had on the country but since the results were what he was trying to accomplish I give him some credit. If he were Republican you all would be swearing on a stack of bibles that he was personally responsible for everything good that has happened and the Demos in congress the cause of lots of bad stuff<ggg>.
I agree with his stance on supporting a woman's right to choose[believe me when I say this.I am not about to get into a battle with any of you on this one so don't even think about it!!] and the death penalty [at least I'm consistent here]
His foreign policy gets a passing grade from me,no major blunders here that I can see.
I would have liked to see some progress on the environmental front.Hillary's health care was, of course,a disaster. Some success. Some failures But perhaps he looks good to me because those before him looked so bad.Just my opinion.
