OK, with that so elequoently said, what happened to the shorts in the majority, like 12 out of 14 of the companies that were on that new SEC web site that you introduced us to today?

Sincerely, did the shorts in those cases get hurt or made whole in a very big way?

<<Obviously a trading suspension would not be in the interest of any short, at least in
the, um, short term. We've seen what happened with MINE. Trading reopened, shorts were "forced" to cover (actually they were just dumb; shoulda stuck it out), and then the stock tanked once again.

Were I actually short MTEI right now, I really wouldn't be happy about it. Woulda wished I'd got out--long OR short--before the halt.>>

You know, janice, I have been thinking about this one for a while. Let's say you were a short (hypothetically - I'm not saying you are) and you did not cover before trading was suspended. Now you can not control whether it ever resumes or not (well unless you think you can scare MM's away through bashing - that's another matter). But you think it is possible that it may actually start again - what would you do? Wouldn't you want to get as many people to dump their shares as early as possible after trading resumes so you could buy into the selling? Kind of a negative pump and dump wouldn't it be?

Could that explain certain peoples continued incessant interest in this stock after trading has been suspended? In fact, it may actually explain an apparent increase in activity on certain persons part, wouldn't it?

Just what I was thinking about last night.

Eric
