As far as Todd's selling disclosures, I appreciate them because he is basically a long-term holder, not a trader, and so his sales usually reflect a change in the fundamentals. In the case of THQI there has absolutely been a change in the fundamentals by taking on 60 million dollars worth of debt. How important is this to THQI's business plan? Well, I think Todd's sale of 10% is about right in reflecting what that debt means to THQI's fundamentals.

Let's be careful when discussing fundamentals. We don't want to sound like the Cendant board, where despite massive accounting fraud, there are people posting there that "the fundamentals are still in place." (This is not to imply that there is anything similar between Cendant's and THQI's fundamentals, only that they have changed; the former drastically and the latter slightly, but significantly.)

I would be interested to know how many actual shares Todd sold. Meaning, did you also sell shares for your clients? Just curious about how much of todays drop was caused by one of THQI's preeminent bulls.

<< I estimate that the gross margins of these units will be about 42%, compared with 48-50% for other N64 titles.>>

Todd, gauging from your numbers, it appears you are estimating a cost of about 19 bucks a piece (.58 * 33.00 - the w/s price announced in the cc). that is roughly the cost i have been using in the past, and appears to be similar to what you were using for the full price version (assuming around 40.00 w/s price).

my question is do you think nintendo is cutting thq a price break on the cart production to be part of the program and promote the N64 console?

I assumed they would. My assumption is based off seing games like tomb raider (psx) selling for 20.00. If sony is charging 10.00 to make it like a full value game, doesn't seem like much $$$ left to go around for retailer / game maker.
