Yeh, AOL and GMGC are VERY similar. This similarity was
a big reason why I invested in GMGC.

Also agree that the GMGC reseller approach was pure
brilliance. I've worked with telcos before. Dinosaurs.
If you whack the tail in California it takes a year for
the signal to travel to the walnut-sized brain in NY.
Slow, slow, slow.

GMGC is not dependent on these dinosaurs. They're in
the game already. They can expand presence and get the
carriers later. We're rolling now, getting mindshare,
refining the service, not promising to beta sometime
in '99. Multi-billion dollar market! And we're the only
one on the field! If one sees this, and if you're
using Portico, there is no way you can't be excited.

I'm also feeling happy about buying
at 5 3/4 a couple days ago. Buy when the
sheep are panicked (I've read too much HellBroker).

About there being only so many "CEOs and VPs" out there.
I'm not a VP, much less a CEO. And I live off Portico.
Likewise, sales people, consultants and businespeople
are the perfect target market.

Motorola as competitor??????? Ha ha ha ha. No offense
to any MOT employees out there, but the
really driven types don't stay at a firm like
that. Anyone who has worked at such a firm
knows they simply can't effectively compete
with a small and nimble silicon valley firm. All the
real go-getters are at the startups, putting in the
late hours, getting rich, running circles
around the old dogs.
