Lamar,
Great idea for a thread, it lets us computer challenged (that is the PC term, politically correct not Personal Computer, excuse the lame attempt at humor) people get knowledge you can't find in a book.
The program R Stevens listed the links for seems to be great. I loaded it last night and so far he is right it makes the pages pop up much quicker. It would be well worth your time to try this.
I hope you can continue to attract the very knowledgeable and helpful people to this thread.
Thanks,
Mark C.

I noticed that to download TweakDUN I will need Visual Basic 5.0. Can you tell me where to get this software?

I tried to download TweakDUN and received a message that Internet Explorer could not download and that I had timed out. Can you help?

R Stevens
I just downloaded the file but it went into a
temp. folder and that was it.
Is that all there is to it or did I down load
the wrong thing.
BTW I am talking about the url you posted to make
your pc. faster.

I went to that article and found my answer. Thanks for taking me back. Here is a clip from that article:

>>Even Microsoft has admitted that the change is useful and has repaired the problem in Windows 98.<<

That makes me feel better. Thanks
