AT&T Files Motion to Intervene in SBC/Ameritech
Merger Company. Also requests PUCO grant OCC motion
for hearing. Stating that the planned SBC takeover of Ameritech
deserves an "on the record" public hearing, AT&T
yesterday filed a motion with the Public Utilities

Frank, Hiram, Mike, Denver Techie & Thread - Here is an article about cable telephony.

tpsite.com

Article says the hardware players are ADC Telecom, Antec, Motorola, Newbridge, Nortel and Tellabs.

Article points out what we already figured out - At present, all cable telephony equipment relies on circuit switching technology but is being adapted for packet switching. My guess is that Bay Networks, with its recent acquisition of NetServe is ahead right now in cable telephony with packet switching.
