The capacity of the cracker will increase from 650kt to 900kt and a large proportion of the new capacity will be for consumption by Shell companies. The cost of the expansion is expected to be more than fl300m (guilders, approx. US$150m), which amounts to half the cost of building a new plant, and work will be completed by mid-2000.
