Re: Ampex and Sonic Solutions synergy............ I'm still big on an AXC/SNIC combo. Sonic Solutions' digital editing/authoring workstations would be a great fit w/AXC. They both have outstanding reputations in their industry. I just bought a Telarc jazz cd by the "Ray Brown Trio" entitled " Some of My Best Friends Are...The Sax Players" w/ Benny Carter, Joe Lovano, Joshua Redman and others. It's a 20 bit recording using esoteric engineering equipment such as Bryston, Krell, Monster Cable, ATC monitor speakers, etc. It also used Sonic Solutions equip for digital editing. I also have a "Strawbs" greatest hits cd which used Sonic to greatly clean up the sound of old tapes. Sonic was also extensively used to digitize the Zapruder film VIDEO. How about AXC & Sonic combine under the name Ampex Solutions and then go out and buy a privately held web hosting company? Would be a nice "all in one solution". Just a thought.
