i believe amat loses money for several qs and that the $0.51 doesn't have amat ever losing money. i think it is generous. good luck... $0.51, outside of a manic bull market, would bring a stock price between $10 and $15. seems the risk reward ratio is a bit skewed here...

This statement is almost always true, but we've not seen this happen lately. That's the puzzling thing. A delayed reaction, similar to SLB's in the oil service sector? SLB held up forever and finally gave in to the lowered numbers.

I still say no one knows the extent and duration of this downturn and Mr. Market is being awfully generous under these conditions. I hope to catch the next crest to go short. IMO, Mr. Market has lost his mind; in the past it has paid to take advantage of that.
