<ot>Merced possibly not a big deal, but McKinley that is another story.

The speculation about delay of Merced is nothing new as it has already been postponed before so a few more quarters of delay is not going to do any observable damage in my opinion. There is also talk now that Merced when introduced will be marketed as 'developmental tool'.Also they say the complexity of this chip is such that delay is inevitable.

Intel is said to be working on another chip called McKinley which will have 'copper connection technology' and this will be the chip to watch and to get excited about.
