This SRV/EQU merger caught me off guard. Remember SRV dumped its equity investment in EQU earlier this past year. This should do the following: 1. Lower LWN's price, further aggravating attempts to get its stock up; 2. Put more pressure on STEI from the investment bankers to come up with some type of LWN/STEI venture; 3. Put only two real players left as major consolidators: SRV and STEI; 4. Put increased pressure on CSV to sell out.

Make no mistake about it: this was a masterstroke by SRV to take advantage of LWN's troubles and increase pressure on STEI as a side benefit. The SRV and LWN guys hate each other and LWN is taking a pummelling right now.

Still look for SRV and STEI to take the jewels away from LWN soon. I am convinced from past history, SRV will be at LWN's funeral to take the jewels before the corpse is buried.
