Siemens is also no company that would be considered a bellwether in the semiconductor industry. Their business moves should not be considered any important indicator with regard to the health of the industry. In fact, that can be said for all European based companies that have ventured into the semiconductor industry. Finally, it's pretty obvious that the DRAM segment is in deep doodoo right now.
