stock bull,
my advice, (for what it is worth), is DO NOT GO ON MARGIN NOW UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES...THE MARKET IS WAY TOO VOLATILE TO TAKE A RISK LIKE THAT...As positive as i am about dell, this crazy market could drag it down (ala yesterday), and you could get stuck having to sell to cover a margin call...trust me, i got caught with my pants down in 1987...of course i was margined to the hilt at 50%...if you are a long term investor in dell you could do SOME MARGIN, making sure that your assets cover you in the event of a drastic drop in the market...you probably already know how to evaluate this but, if not, i can probably help you look at it further having learned the hard way. The only time i use margin is for day trading on a CLEARLY up day. GR
