J. Garcia: Freedom of speech is a right. Posting on SI is a privilege. A right, being inalienable, comes with responsibilities. Privileges come with suspensions. Libel and slander have serious consequences, too often for the target of the libel and slander. There is an honest debate going on over whether or not TAVA will profit handsomely from its big investment in Y2K. There is no evidence of fraud. We can all appreciate the debate, but there appears to be increasing impatience with the mud-slinging by those who are walking the line of libel and slander.
