I have found, in my own experience, that I buy more when I feel confident and less when I'm unsure. The revelation is that my "unsure" picks, with smaller positions, do better than my Easy Street panic buys.

Even if it just means that my Maybe picks go down less than my Easy Street picks.

At any rate, you are not alone in falling victim to this psychology. I'm sure that greed-fear-greed-fear-greed-fear is universal.
