If the delay is caused by bettering the product prior to distribution
that is a good thing, and give the company credit, time is
a little thing to sacrifice if the product is all it is to be,but
what do you gain from putting out a product that isn't up to par just
to get it out there asap?

Point taken... But software is software, and delays are part of the game and everyone has them... If it was up to management, I am sure that the software would have been released long ago... And if it was up to the programmers, it would never get released as they would spend the rest of their lives 'polishing'... I still feel that you have to evaluate the effects of a delay against the pluses that it offers, and if that is what they did, they did OK in my book...
