TOKYO (Nikkei)--Sony Corp. (SNE or 6758) will introduce Sept. 10 a portable DVD player that can be recharged without using a separate recharger and that can be powered by Sony camcorder lithium-ion batteries, reports the Nikkei Industrial Daily's Thursday edition.

The PBD-V30, which can also play audio and video CDs, will cost 78,000 yen. Sony is hoping for monthly sales of 3,000 units.
