I am beginning to understand I think. It had not sunk in that the revenues that Astra are getting now are not necessarily a function of what Vivus are getting now simply because Astra could be paying Vivus but stockpiling for future sales as markets open.

This actually clears a worry I had which was that I could not see how it was necessary to have all these lines producing at the new plant if at present the UK is the only major market open.

On the other hand, presumably Astra and Janssen will take care not to generate too much inventory, particularly as they cannot predict the effect of viagra. And here we do not know what deal they have made with Vivus, apart from there being milestone payments?

As I understand it, your earnings projections are based on Vivus production capacity. We have on the thread considered predictions from the other end - world population, demand and spending power which I think is the bottom line. Ultimately the predictions from these two viewpoints must square up.
