Considering the fundamentals of AGP appear to have only improved recently you'd have to think shares at $2.25 represent excellent value. I don't think the weather could have been much better for ice sales the last few months in the areas AGP currently serves. For ice companies in the summer, extended periods of hot weather equals excellent revenues. It will be interesting to see just how good the numbers look once the 1st quarter ending July 31/98 is out.

The ongoing slide in the Canadian dollar doesn't help things right now, but considering AGP currently has over half it's revenues and more to come from the U.S. I like the chances of the Arctic Group one day finding some American investment community backing & following. I think non promoted quality growth stories like this take time to develop & be recognized. In the meantime....it's fire sale prices at the ice house!

Higher interest rates & inflation is what usually kills stock markets as a whole. Both of those don't seem to be around right now.

Good Trading,
Markus

Cool! You live in winnipeg. Nice to make an investment in something that actually has hard assets you can touch close to home. I heard the nice weather across western Canada had all AGP ice plants from vancouver to winnipeg selling everything they can produce the last few weeks or so. You gotta figure the exceptional hot summer in most parts of north america can only help the efficiencies & earnings for AGP in the first & second quarters of 98.

I believe management of the Arctic Group know the enormous long term potential of their consolidation strategy in this niche industry & are more concerned with building a stable, profitable organization rather than with short term share price fluctuations. Eventually it's the earnings numbers & future earnings potential of a company that determines the share price, so hopefully patience in this case will be rewarded.

Good Trading,
Markus
