It'll be interesting to see if after the deposition, Clinton will pull a John and Patsy Ramsey infomercial. Invite all their favorite reporters to a "interview" where they have to have questions pre-approved and sex and coverup are off-limits. They've followed some of the same scripts:

1) villify the investigators and the investigation
2) tell everyone what a waste of money it is
3) hire private investigators to intimidate the investigators

That makes sense.

Monica is believable about the sex because of all the corroboration.

Monica is not believable if she maintains that Clinton didn't ask her to lie (in so many words), that she wrote the "talking points" w/o WH help or that the WH did not try to get her jobs.

Monica will still lie wherever she can to protect Clinton.

J:

Can someone tell me why you need to prepare to tell the truth?

Much to my surprise, Peter Jennings asked his White House reporter the same question about 10 days ago on the evening news. It was preceded by the phrase "Not to appear cynical, but..." The answer is apparently to "... not volunteer too much information. If the question requires a yes/no response, answer yes or no." Perhaps we can look forward to a monosyllabic Grand Jury appearance.

As far as Lewinsky's credibility goes, the spin is "Well, she's got immunity, so she can make up any lie she wants." Apparently the fact that Lewinsky may have lied once outweighs than the fact that the President has been caught in quite a few.
